The Works comprised of the construction of passing lanes and intersection improvements on Great Eastern Highway as follows:

  • Extension of existing westbound passing lane, west of Bakers Hill including shoulder reconstruction and drainage improvements, 67.83 to 68.53 SLK;
  • Intersection improvement of Great Eastern Highway with Decastilla Road, to be widened on the northern side only of the highway, 73.32SLK including the installation of a three barrel 600dia concrete culvert directly underneath the highway while maintaining heavy traffic flows; and
  • Intersection improvement of Great Eastern Highway with Hawke Avenue, 62.05SLK.

This project was completed on budget and to schedule.
